Adults are brown to reddish in color and are about the size (and similar shape) as a watermelon seed. • Adults
• Nymphs
• Eggs
• Fecal spots (small black flecks resembling pepper flakes)
• Blood streaks, spots, stains

Keep in mind that they may be on the mattress, in the box springs, in the bed frame, behind headboards and picture frames, etc. Look high and low. Oftentimes we see fecal staining in the corners of the ceilings where they are squeezing through to their wall void hideout.

Anytime you are traveling, it is wise to inspect your temporary habitation prior to setting your stuff inside and going to sleep. In fact, it can be beneficial to minimize the amount of personal property brought in to a hotel or motel room.
