Each year in August, thousands of children get ready to head Back to School by sharpening their pencils and filling up backpacks with paper and crayons. Then there are the thousands of children that get ready to head back to school by wondering what they’re going to carry their stuff in and if there will be enough crayons to share.
This past August, Fostering Love Project gathered school supplies for children in Dakota and Washington Counties that need a little help getting back to school with confidence. We gathered backpacks, and crayons, and markers…oh my! Over 100 children received backpacks with various school supplies needed for the coming school year.
On August 22nd, Dakota County held an event where foster parents and foster children in the area could grab a backpack and fill it with the school supplies on their lists. It was so fun to play a part in providing school supplies for this event.
